Seeking support through counseling takes courage, and I strive to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and supported. In our sessions, we will identify your goals, make sense of challenges, and develop practical skills and insights to help you find hope, confidence, and a renewed perspective. I have a holistic counseling approach, but I mainly draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. In my practice, I support individuals and couples—from middle-school age through older adults—navigating a variety of challenges, especially anxiety, depression, grief, interpersonal issues, eating disorders, and spiritual concerns.
My faith as a Christian is central to who I am and reinforces a core value I hold: deeply respecting everyone’s beliefs, whether Christian, from a different religious or spiritual background, or non-religious/spiritual. I incorporate a Christian framework into sessions only if requested by the client.
I am a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education, both from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. My professional background spans diverse settings, from community clinics and schools to private practice. Beyond my clinical training, I bring a unique personal perspective shaped by my biracial heritage, extensive international travel experience, and fluency in Spanish and French. This blend of life experience and professional expertise allows me to connect with clients from all walks of life with deep cultural sensitivity. It would be an honor to join you in your therapeutic journey.
“I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” -John 10:10 (ESV)
