I believe you are more than the challenges you are facing, and I want therapy to be a place where you can explore those challenges while also discovering your strengths and capacity for growth. I believe that people are deeply shaped by their relationships and experiences, and that meaningful change often happens when we have a safe place to be heard, understood, and supported. As a systems-based therapist with a background in Marriage and Family Therapy, I look at the bigger picture of your life—including family relationships, past experiences, beliefs, and patterns of interaction—to better understand what may be contributing to what you are experiencing today.
I work with children ages 3 and older, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My approach to therapy is relational, compassionate, and strengths-based. I draw from Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy, while incorporating trauma- and attachment-informed principles into my work. I tailor these approaches to each person and family because I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.
My Christian faith is also an important part of who I am and how I approach counseling. If you desire faith-informed care, I welcome the opportunity to incorporate Christian principles and biblical perspectives into our work while honoring your individual beliefs, experiences, and goals.
