A truly powerful opportunity is created when an individual decides to explore the areas of their life they would like to change and/or improve and then collaborates with a professional partner to reach those goals. Counseling comes with many preconceptions, unknowns and even fears. My passion and commitments are to meet you where you are at with empathy, compassion, and a genuine care for your health, wellness, and life goals. My approach is to walk with you as you navigate the concerns of the past and todays struggles. Then to consider opportunities and evidence-based treatments which can ease or address these challenges.

I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health conferred by the University of Nebraska at Omaha, that builds upon my undergraduate degree in Psychology. My experience includes treating a wide audience of clients including individuals and couples at the CityCare Counseling internship practice.I have also treated a spectrum of clients seen at the Community Counseling Clinic at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Additionally, I have spent two years working in a residential in-patient substance recover facility serving those experiencing addiction. My clinical approach is eclectic and considers a complete picture of who you are.I am trained in and deploy approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and skills/techniques gained from such specializations as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

I have been married for 25 years and have 2 great children. I am a Christian and believe deeply in the love and healing power rooted in relationship with Jesus Christ. Faith and spirituality, approached ethically, are optional and available tools in treatment. When life allows, I enjoy boardgames and am an avid lover of cinema and home theater.
