As a counselor, I love helping my clients navigate obstacles that hinder a vitalized well-being while finding new ways to thrive in life. I have worked with adolescents and adults on a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, sexuality, relational difficulties, and forgiveness issues. I utilize an integrative counseling approach that predominantly relies on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients restructure their mindsets toward more fulfilling life goals. In addition to my work with teens and adults, I enjoy working with couples. For couples counseling, I primarily rely on the PrepareEnrich premarital and marital counseling approach to help couples identify strengths and growth areas in their relationship while developing interpersonal skills to enhance life together.

Before joining the professional counseling community, I enjoyed a fulfilling career in Christian ministry. I spent the majority of my ministry years as a youth pastor, and I love continuing that passion of helping young people through professional counseling. This period of ministry also included tenures as a crisis counselor at Boys Town and as a pastoral counselor at Fresh Start for all Nations. These years provided me substantial experience with relational counseling issues.

My professional training includes a master’s degree in clinical counseling from Crown College and a bachelor’s degree in Christian ministry from Grace University. Through my professional experiences and education, I have successfully helped people find more fullness in their lives. So, if you’re struggling to survive today, don’t give up on a chance to thrive tomorrow.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.” –John 10:10, BSB
