I became a counselor because of my own experience of seeking help and healing through therapy. We live in a world that is fast paced, often overstimulating, and it is rare to find a safe person that can provide nonjudgment and a listening ear. I desire for you to feel heard, known, and valued in the counseling room and I would be honored to walk alongside you.
My counseling approach is one of attunement and empowerment. I do not give advice. I use an integrative, evidence-based approach and believe the client is the expert of their life. Our sessions will consist of me actively listening to your story and sharing what I notice and to bear witness to your experiences out of a posture of kindness and curiosity. As you experience going back to these difficult places in a safe setting with a trusted counselor, you can make sense of often confusing emotions and find hope and healing.
I am a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP) in the State of Nebraska. I graduated with a MA in Counseling from Crown College and have experience working with a variety of clients (including cross culturally), and issues such as grief, life transitions, motherhood, depression, anxiety, stress, sexual wholeness, and betrayal trauma. I have received training from the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists to help those who have experienced betrayal from their partner’s unwanted sexual compulsive behaviors.
