Life presents many challenges over time; some come naturally due to passage through stages of our lives, some develop as a result of poor choices, some arise in tough economic times, and others evolve simply due to circumstances beyond our control. Perhaps counseling is just what you need—an opportunity to sort out your concerns or issues and develop a new perspective and game plan. I would be happy to share in your journey as you come to a greater understanding of your circumstances.

I am a genuine and compassionate therapist whose goal is to meet my clients exactly where they are at. I have frequently been told that I bring a calming aura to any environment and have a natural tendency to be able to put people at ease. My therapeutic approach is to provide support while providing insightful feedback to encourage clients to consider alternatives.

I consider myself to be an “eclectic” therapist, drawing upon techniques from a variety of modalities to find just the right one(s) for each client. My goal is to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client’s needs. With a desire to understand the client’s world from his/her perspective, I seek to help each individual in identifying personal strengths and needs. By building on this foundation, the client is able to attain personal growth and learn to deal with life’s challenges more effectively.

“The most basic of all human needs is the need to understand and be understood. The best way to understand people is to listen to them.” –Ralph Nichols
