Are you feeling overwhelmed or stuck in a negative pattern that keeps you from fully engaging in life? Are you finding it difficult to identify what changes you need to make, or what you need to do to overcome your current obstacles?

I recognize that there are times on life’s journey when we feel overwhelmed, unheard, unseen or misunderstood. These things can lead to feeling stuck and unsure how to move forward.

I truly believe that one of the bravest things you can do is make a decision to take a step in the direction of positive change.

I would like to come alongside you to be a source of support and provide empathy and respect on your journey toward transformation.

I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner in the state of Nebraska with a MS degree in Professional Counseling from Concordia University Wisconsin. I grew up as a pastor's kid moving every couple of years, then married a man with an adventurous spirit and employment that led to us living all over the United States and overseas in Germany, Morocco, and Egypt. These experiences broadened my worldview and have allowed me to develop skills and facilitate therapy for diverse populations with a wide variety of needs. I feel called to counsel and believe God has used each experience in my life to mold me into the empathetic and authentic counselor I am today.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages dealing with a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, self-esteem, life transitions, emotion regulation, and relational and communication issues. I also have experience working with couples and leading groups.

I believe in the importance of forming and maintaining a strong therapeutic relationship by providing empathy and respect as clients navigate their journey. I recognize that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all experience. Therefore, I use an eclectic and integrative approach. I work to assess client strengths and identify roadblocks to progress, and then tailor treatment to incorporate a variety of clinical, evidence-based tools, techniques, and interventions to meet each individual’s unique needs. I use interventions such as client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) during treatment. I have training in Level 1 Gottman Method couples therapy, and TF-CBT.

I have been married 29 years, have three sons, and love being a wife and mom. Along with my heart for helping others, I enjoy traveling, being outdoors in nature, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Most of all, I love helping people rediscover a sense of hope and joy.
