BECKY SMITH MA, PLMHP
Professional Counselor / firstname.lastname@example.org / 402-916-9421
My counseling experience includes counseling at the Open Door Mission and CityCare Counseling where part of my internship was spent counseling internationally in southeast Asia. I have been married for 19 years and have four amazing kids. I was adopted from Korea as a baby, grew up in Wisconsin, and went to the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. After graduation, I lived in the Chicago area, central coast California, and Wisconsin again for a little while. I have a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health from Grace University and am currently a provisionally licensed mental health practitioner.
I deeply enjoy connecting with kids and adolescents and have experience being a teaching parent in a residential treatment home for teens. I also have a passion for working with adoptions and all that goes with it; as an adoptee myself I have unique perspectives. In private practice, I have worked with many issues including grief, sexual trauma, abuse, and forgiveness issues. I have been told that my counseling style is safe, warm, and open. It truly is my honor to be able to walk with you through what is difficult. Counseling is a brave first step.
