Alicia Kurzenberger, LIMHP, LCSW, IADC
I believe that through our trials and life experiences, God has a plan of redemption for us. Our pain has purpose, as I’ve experienced in my own life. My desire is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you through this time. My promise is to greet you with compassion and grace, to give you support and an understanding ear.
I am a Licensed Clinical/Independent Social Worker in Nebraska (LCSW) and Iowa (LISW). I am also licensed as an International Alcohol and Drug Counselor (IADC) in Iowa as well. I received my Masters in Social Work from UNO in 2003 and have 14 years of experience working as a therapist since then.
My experience covers a wide range of clientele from school-aged children, adolescents, families, couples, and adults. I incorporate evidence-based models into my practice to include TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), play therapy, and MDFT (Multidimensional Family Therapy). I have worked with those who struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD, a disconnect in family or marital relationships, self-harming behaviors, adolescent substance use, anger, and the big one...stress!
In Jesus’ own words, “The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10
