My name is James (Jim) Santoro. I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Grace University. I am Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) providing mental health counseling services to individuals and families, as a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) in Nebraska and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Iowa. As a 20+ U.S. Air Force veteran, I gained valuable insight working with men and women from diverse cultural backgrounds. With 16+ years in the helping profession, I have worked with adolescents, adults and families, not only in private practice but also at Boys Town, Healthy Homes Family Services (IA) and Daybreak Mental Health Services helping those struggling with anxiety, grief, PTSD, as well as with relationship and work-related pressures. Additionally, I served on the Bellevue Mayor’s Commission on Drug and Alcohol Abuse for over three years. My counseling orientations are primarily cognitive behavioral and reality with a focus on ensuring treatment is tailored specifically for the individual while being committed to helping the whole person.
