CareGivers Appreciation Breakfast

Please come and let the leaders of the Care Network at CCC express their gratitude for your service, your input, your dedication, and your experience.  If you have been active through Stephen Ministry, Renewal Ministries, Lay Counseling, Marriage Mentoring, Prayer Ministry, Spiritual Direction, Jail Ministry or Professional Counseling we want to say THANK YOU  for all the hard work that you do as wounded healers! We invite you and your spouse to join us for a yummy breakfast here at CCC on Saturday, April 1st. We’ll hear from Wendell and a few others, enjoy a great breakfast, and most importantly enjoy the fellowship of a community of believers serving God and His Kingdom in helping others.  PLEASE RSVP BY MARCH 27 TO HELP US GIVE OUR CATERER NICHOLE AN ACCURATE COUNT!

Plan on meeting in Room C117, but may need to move based on numbers, keep on the lookout for changes!

An Introduction to Spiritual Direction

May's focus will be on the role of Spiritual Direction in cultivating an increased awareness of God's active presence.  While we may know intellectually that Immanuel is always with us, most of us can point to few, if any, conscious interactions we have had with Him.

Vicki Buras and Sue Sather, certified spiritual directors, will provide a taste of Spiritual Direction and how it could play a vital role in your spiritual health as a caregiver as well as a referral resource to complement your ministry.  Come experience Immanuel Texting as a way to connect with God in the dailyness of life.

Mental Health Community Resources

Caregivers, this month we are excited to offer a full morning hosting representatives from various agencies in our community that are making a difference in the mental health world.  Hosted by Kevin DeGoey, you are invited to a paneled discussion with The Kim Foundation, Boystown, The Salvation Army, Lutheran Family Services and CityCare Counseling.  We will hear a brief overview of the services each agency provides, followed by a group discussion and Q and A about how they may be able to assist you in your ministries.
