About Dana...

Professional Counselor /danakherr@cox.net/ 402-250-5552

“The glory of God is man fully alive.” Dana embraces this ancient quote and aims to empower each of her clients to live life to the fullest. She has learned how to experience serenity in the midst of life’s trials and desires to share her experience, strength, and hope with those who are struggling. Personally, Dana has journeyed through various life challenges, including codependency, low self esteem, depression and anxiety. As an “older” single adult with no children, Dana understands the loneliness that occurs when journeying through life without a significant other. She deeply values community and encourages her clients to develop healthy support systems as well. She is authentic with her clients and provides a safe place to find hope and healing while equipping them with tools for successful living.

Dana graduated with a Master’s in Counseling from Grace University in 2007 and a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Nicholls State University in 1996. She served six years in the Air Force followed by two years with The Navigators Military Ministry at Offutt AFB. In addition to counseling at CityCare, Dana works at a residential facility for adults with Severe & Persistent Mental Illness.
